Hi, quick question I couldn't seem to find an answer to by searching.
I recently disassembled my driver side headlight motor because it started acting up. Gear was cracked and a new one is on the way. while taking it apart I noticed that the previous owner (Bubba-- screwed carpeting all over random trims) had caked on tons and tons of grease.
Is this normal? I couldn't find any information on others doing the same to their headlight motor-- and the amount of grease he put in the gear assembly actually started leaking out and pooling (pic below).
