Does anyone know what is the correct manifold vacuum fitting for a 1972 LS5 with 4 speed?
Shop replaced mine with an aftermarket brass fitting that has the 1/4" vacuum hose port pointing up thus slightly interfering with the bottom of the air cleaner.
I remember my OEM zinc plated fitting had the 1/4" vacuum hose port pointing horizontally, but I don't remember if the fitting had 1 or 2 ports.
I seem to vaguely recall 1 port was connected to headlight door vacuum system and the other port was blocked off with a rubber nipple.
Looked through AIM. General diagram on page M189 shows a 1 port fitting with part #3891523 on a small block, but there is no info in the LS5 specific section of the AIM.
Looking through various parts vendor sites can only determine a 72 LS5 with automatic uses a 2 port fitting but no specific listing for a 4 speed.
Thanks for any help.

Wayne
