A: The Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan is a supplemental coverage that provides protection from the high cost of repair or replacement of tires and/or wheels that have been damaged by a road hazard.

A: A road hazard is defined as a pothole, debris (i.e. nails, glass, rocks, tree limbs), curb or any other object or condition that is not normally found on a public roadway, that may prevent a tire from holding sufficient air or properly sealing to the wheel.

Q: What types of tires and wheels are covered?
A: The Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan provides coverage for the original tires and wheels, which meet the manufacturer’s size and specification for the eligible vehicle.

Q: Are aftermarket tires and wheels covered?
A: Yes, as long as the tires and wheels are within manufacturer’s original size and specifications guidelines.

Q: Can the Divisional Tire and Wheel Plan be sold on used vehicles?
A: Yes, as long as the vehicle has tread life is greater than 3/32".

Q: Does the Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan provide coverage for tires with run-flat technology?
A: Yes, as long as the tires and wheels are within manufacturer’s original size and specifications guidelines.

Q: What types of vehicles are covered?
A: The Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan is intended for vehicles that are used for personal use only. This includes all body types, drivetrains and fuel types. Vehicles that are used for commercial purposes, at any time, are not eligible for the Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan.

Q: Are the costs of mounting and balancing included in the cost of repairs?
A: Yes, the costs associated with mounting, balancing, valve stems, taxes and proper disposal of any non-repairable tire/wheel are included in the Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of tire and/or wheel claims that can be made?
A: No, there is no limit to the number of tire and/or wheel claims during the term of the Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan.

Q: Is this protection “sign and drive”, or is the customer required to pay for the repairs and then submit receipts for reimbursement?
A: AMT will pay the Repair Facility directly for approved claims via credit card or check depending on the repairer’s preference.

Q: What contract terms are available with the Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan?
A: The following terms are available

A: No, the Divisional Tire & Wheel Protection Plan does not require a deductible to be paid.
